Teaching students how to study has been my passion for over 15 years. Getting good grades in school has nothing to do with intelligence! Many people didn’t have someone show them what simple steps are necessary to make school more than a chore. Lots of students think school is a waste of time because they don’t understand what school is about.
I get so excited when I help someone to have an inspirational moment which changes their life forever for the better. The same skills that help a student to be successful in school also can be used to further a career, help a relationship, or get more enjoyment in the many opportunities life has to offer.
My name is Amy Silbert. I have a B.A. from UCLA and an M.A. from Loyola Marymount University. I have worked in the Counseling Department and the Student Success Department at Portland Community College in Portland, Oregon. I would like to share with you all that I have learned both from research and personally from my students over the years to make your school experience more rewarding and your life more successful than you ever dreamed!
